Legal Question in Employment Law in India

Hi

I got joining from Intelligence Bureau(MoH) for a group B post in March 2013.Due to some family exigencies could not join, got extension and they offered again in July 2013. This time just before the day to go, I got injured (Lower back) and could not join. I took medical advice and doctor suggested me rest for a week. I informed IB Hq and training centre by registered post & FAX. It took me 3 weeks to recover and I continuously updated them with medical certificates week after week. But finally they cancelled my job offer in August.

Please suggest...

Dear Sir / Madam,

A job offer in any establishment, institution, organization, Government Undertaking, or the Ministry is usually valid for a maximum duration of one month from the date of Offer within which the candidate has to join. From your query, I get a firm impression that you are not destined for this job ... simply because some or the other problem crops up with you. Intelligence Bureau (IB) officials have jobs for those who are extremely agile, diplomatic, shrewd, tactful and most important of all of "fitness first-always fit" mentality, and the IB neither will wait for you so many months to get medically fit, nor do they have the inclination and time to see your medical certificates, week on week. They were considerate enough to give you a good four months extension time to join, so their cancellation is fully justified and valid. Sorry to say, you are just not "cut out" for this job, so its better you look elsewhere.

Regards,
