Legal Question in Legal Ethics in India

Hi,
I am management professional, and presently working with one of the leading OEM. 2.5 year back i have joined the company on fixed term contract period and after the tenure complated i suppose to get confirm in the same company as the practice, but the tenure has been extended for one more year... may i know if there is any law if i am contineously working with that company and they are not getting me confirm. i am finding problem in getting relevent jobs because of this contract tag and the present salary. the offered salary by other are on the basis of present.
Please advise.
