Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Dear sir I am planning to buy a property first purchaser 1971 and second buyer 1988 then I am going to be the third buyer in 2014. The original document of 1971 was missed in 1985 itself, 1989 transactions was based on the copy of document of 1971 can I buy this property without 1971 original document?

Regards,
