Hi,

We have ancestral property in Rajsthan but my father's grand father left his village and all the property and now I want to get back my ancestral property. So please guide me.

Dear Sir / Madam,

You should begin by assimilating and collecting all the documents and papers related to the property from family sources and by requesting the Tehsildar / District Registrar to provide you with copies of the documents and papers of the property as on record. You also need to ascertain whether your grandfather has left behind a Will as regards the property. If your grandfather has not left behind his Will specifying the legal heir in whose name the property must be transferred, you will need to transfer the property in the name of your grandmother.
