Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

I am Decree holder in property case and i had filed for possession. The court then ordered attachment of property which was in possession of the other guys. But yesterday instead of giving me the possession the civil court had adjourned the date. I came to know from the clerk of my advocate that the other party had appealed in the higher court.

But how can they appeal against the court's decision of giving me the possession. I thought its between me and the court and if they had appealed against the decree then can this appeal stop the lower court from giving me possession of property.

plz reply soon. My advocate says i don't have to worry about anything and court will give me the possession on next date and i'll have to prepare myself for the appeal in above court. Because if i lose the appeal only then i can lose possession.

My question maybe sound a bit puzzled but hopefully there are very talented advocates here on this website and i hope that you'll make sense of it.

Dear Sir / Madam,

If the opponents have preferred to appeal against the judgement of the lower court, you will need to defend yourself in the appeal preferred by the opponents.
