Hi,
I purchased flat in 2009, under const. & got possion in 2010, now builder asking for VAT & service tax, also if i want to sell flat for NOC from builder, he is asking about 3 lakhs rs. advice with truth

Dear Kirit,
VAT And Service Tax is payable from retrospective effect so you will have to pay it. You should wait till the Society is formed and the building is conveyed to the Society to sell your flat, to avoid any unreasonable charges for NOC for sale to the builder.
