Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India

I am from Karnataka. I am married having two daughters. I have purchased a flat in Goa out of my own source of Income. (I am not a Goan origin). Can I make a Will of all the properties as I may desire? Is it mandatory that I should make will giving the property to my wife and children ?

Dear Sir,

Yes, you may make a Will of the properties in your name. No, although it is the normal practice, it is not mandatory and there is no compulsion on you that your wife and children should be named as the beneficiaries in your Will.

no if it is your self acquired property you can will it to anyone you want to.
