Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Alabama

i had a judgement placed against me in 2005. i have had my wages garnished for all but close to $1400 of the judgement. while reviewing my credit report two weeks ago, i noticed that the remaining balance is now $100+ more than the original judgement amount. I contacted the creditor and was mailed a statement stating the original balance and that there was no interest incurred on the account. I then requested a statement showing the amount that has been paid and the remaining balance. I received another statement showing the same information but with added interest. My question is how can the creditor advise me that no interest has been incurred but then garnish my wages for the remaining balance plus a couple of thousand dollars for interest. what can i do about this sittuation?

Post judgement interest accures at the rate of 6% annually by statute in Alabama. Unless you can settle with them, you can't do much.
