Legal Question in Criminal Law in Alabama
Domestic Violence Chinese citizen
My wife's father is visiting from china. My wife and father got into argument. Police ended up charging him with domestic violence 3. Father was bailed out of jail by bail bondsman wife paid $85 fee. Bail was set at $500.
Court date is set after he was planning to return to china.
Against our advice. Father wants to leave for china as planned and not meet court date.
Question:
What consequences will father face?
More importantly...Will wife face any consequences? If so what are the possibilities?

One consequence is he may get his passport revoked as far as entry into the U.S. in the future. I do not see consequences for your wife. She would be the victimm and it is up to her to testify or not.
