Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

I live in Alabama. I was divorced in 2007. My divorce did not encompass spousal support. I supported my ex husband for several years of our marriage. He went overseas making 90 thousand a year due to my efforts. I had quit working at his request to take care of our son. now I found out he had two children over there 2 or 3 years before our divorce and I am living on 1200 a month. can I ammend my divorce and ask for spousal support and change the grounds for divorce now that I know about the affair.

You cannot change the grounds for the divorce. You may be able to go after support if the issue was "reserved" in the decree. If spousal support was not awarded or reserved you are probably out of luck. Please read your decree carefully and see if spousal support was awarded or reserved.
