Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Alabama

Employer Defimation of character of an awarded employee

an an employer put a letter up above a time clock in an office stating that the police should be called if that person comes in that business. Especially if that employee left on excellent terms and the letter did not go up until I complained to owner of hotel about what the general manager was doing that was harming other employees by keeping his drunk asst on duty? Also is can a hotel use your picture on a brochure as advertising if I did not sign release? I feel this is damaging my reputation and there is alot I need to discuss with an attorney. I was forced out of this job and other employees are ready to sue them as well for the exact same thing.
