Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Alabama

My Horse

I ''sold'' three horses to someone 2 years ago. At the time that she picked up the horses, she paid me a third of the money. She wrote on the check that the rest would be paid by May. We had only a verbal contract. She was supposedly a nice Christian lady. And I know I am stupid for no contract. Can I get my horses? Or should I just write it off as a huge mistake in judgement on my part? SHe had given me this sad story about how her husband was going to war and her 9 children were so devastated and heartbroken for their daddy to be leaving. What a sucker I am! I don't want any trouble. I just want my children to have their horses back.

Re: My Horse

I do not know how much money was involved but you can still sue. Let her know your intentions and be willing to give her back her money, in the event the horses have been taken well care of you should do this.
