Legal Question in Personal Injury in Alabama

Head Injury

I was in a store returning a iten to swap and the clerk told me to go back and help myself in getting the correct chair. No salesperson was around so I helped myself and had to bend over and when I stood up hit my head on the shelf. Had to be took to the emergency room for stitches. I think they should pay for it but they are not wanting too. Should I get with an attorney

Re: Head Injury

Not likely. While the store clerk was negligent, the ultimate fault in the accident is yours. I've seen cases like this before and they aren't worth an attorney's time and effort. There are better cases where a shopper is just walking down the aisle and a large can (or in one really good case, a TV) falls down and hits someone on the head because the clerks stacked too many high. Other than that kind of case you aren't likely to get anywhere.

But feel free to contact an attorney in your area; there may be others who've been successful at such recoveries.

Good luck!
