Legal Question in Personal Injury in Alabama

I was hit by a driver who caused damage to my back, I am wondering what happens if he is underinsured. Typical coverage is about 25-50K, I have life altering damage, what course of action is possible to recieve a just compensation?

You have to go after them personally. If they have assets, you can seize them--a car, a boat, etc. You can get a lien on their real property. You can garnish their wages if they have a job. They may avoid your judgment if they file bankruptcy, and that is a genuine concern, but you can still get whatever assets they have and sell them off to pay for your own damages they caused.
