Legal Question in Personal Injury in Alabama

I was involved in a motorcycle accident in which the other driver was at fault. I have made several payments since the accident and since the motorcycle was totalled. The other drivers insurance is slow in settling. Is the insurance company required to reimberse me for those payments made? Or can I collect from the insurance policy owner. I did not go through my insurance as the other drivers insurance said they would take care of it.

Each case is different and it varies what damages the insurance companies will pay. Also, the insurance company may be stalling with settling your case in hopes that you will become desparate and settle for less. If you haven't already, you should contact an attorney who can make sure you are compensated fairly and as quickly as possible. Good luck.
