If you are in Alaska, chances are that you don't have a mortgage; you have a deed of trust. In either case, no; unless she has signed the note, she is not responsible for the debt.

She could, however, be evicted if payments due under the mortgage or deed of trust are not paid and the bank chooses to foreclose.
