Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Arizona

I loaned a friend money to pay for her wedding on a short term. Due to circustances out of her control the short term has turned into almost two years. She has been making payments but stopped 2 1/2 months ago. She has stopped communicating as well. What recourse do i have to recover my money. approx. $16,500

I would start by hiring an attorney to prepare a demand letter to see if you can convince her to start making the payments again. If the letter did not work, your only recourse is to sue her. You probably need to bring your claim within three years of the breach or your claim will be extinguished by the statute of limitations. Regards.
