Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

custody of minor child

I have a daughter who is 5 years old, I was never married to her father he is on the birth certificate, I have been having some problems and about 5 weeks ago the father and his mother took my daughter and won't let me see her talk to her or anything. I have a warrant so I've been scared and they keep threatening me with the police, I miss my daughter so much and would like to know what I can do, and can they take her from me and not let me see her, legally?

Re: custody of minor child

They, of course, have no right to simply keep your child from you without appropriate Court orders. There are steps you could take, immediately, to have the child returned. However, the steps would either involve the Court or the police, or both.

The warrant issue absolutely needs to be resolved. At a minimum, however, you could designate who should care for the child in the interim.

Please call me if you would like my assistance in this matter.
