Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Dependency Petition

My husband has been served with ''dependency petition'' papers by CPS. A ''John Doe'' was also mentioned. The children in question are his alledged daughter, who is 16 yrs and whose whereabouts is unknown, and her daughter who is 7 yrs. We don't want to pay child support if she isn't his, and if she is we want to petition for the 7yr olds custody. What do we do to postpone the ''dependency petition'' hearing? He is willing to have DNA testing done.

Re: Dependency Petition

Ask the Court for DNA testing and try to cooperate with them. Make sure there are no default order by the court, also if you want to dely the hearing file a motion with the court
