Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Re-Open an existing Divorce case

Is there a way that I can speak to the judge who granted my divorce? I was unable to speak because my ex had the Default papers mailed to his mom's house so that I could not contest and talk to the judge? I do not agree to anything in the divorce documents. Or can you refer me to a good Lawer, who will handle out of state cases. Who can help me and is not going to hurt my wallet? I am a single Mom w/3boys who needs all the help I can get. Please help Me!

Re: Re-Open an existing Divorce case

The answer to your question depends on a number of factors including why you defaulted, when the decree was signed, what the divisio of assets were, etc. If you have any specific questions, feel free to let me know.

Re: Re-Open an existing Divorce case

Under these circumstances, you can, AND SHOULD, file a Motion to Set Aside the default Decree.

Time is of the essence, so do not delay having this done. Our firm represents many out of state clients, and would be very happy to help you.

I can explain the procedures better by phone. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via e'mail. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail. Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Alicia to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation. I look forward to talking with you.
