Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Arizona

I am being sued by JDbyrider for a car repossession. They sent me a copy of a sale dating 2/2/04 that they sold my car for $700.I still owed about $6000.That leaves me a $5300 debt plus interest. As I prepared for my case I have discovered thur carfax that the car was actually sold on 1/15/03.This leaves me to believe that the car was sold for much more and this sales receipt 2/2/02 was fabricated with a sale amount of $700 so I would owe more money. Do you have any suggestions as what I should do.

File an answer in the case indicating that they sold the car for far less than it was worth and request an accounting from them. If they produce the documents indicating that the car was sold for $700, then make an argument that it was sold for far less than fair market value and request that the judge reduce the amount owed to a reasonable amount. Be prepared to show the judge what a reasonable amount should be.
