Legal Question in Immigration Law in Arizona

Employment Authorization

Im married to U.S. citizen for 6 months.

I have received an employment authorization on June 14th. Im living in Tucson, AZ.

The problem is that to find a job here in Tucson is very hard.

So, I have a question about finding a job in another state (California or somewhere else)

Would be my working in another state at least for 6 months a problem on INS interview

In 2 years? My husband cant move because he has a job here in Tucson.

Would be our separate living and working a problem to prove our marriage on INS interview?

I want to find a job but its too hard in Tucson. Of course, I dont want that my job will create a problem of proving my relationship with my husband on INS interview.

I would like to know whether its possible to work in another state, different from Arizona.

Thank you for answer.

Re: Employment Authorization

Hi and thank you for your question,

As long as the marriage is bonafide in the inception, you should be fine at the time of the interview. You will have other documentation to prove the relationship, like car insurance, home ownership, taxes and things of this nature. A logical explanation at the time of the interview can convince the officer that the marriage is fine.

If worse come to worse and you are not confident to attend to the interview with your husbannd alone, going with an attorney to explain the necessity to move might be a good idea.

Hope this helps feel free to give me a call should you need further assistance. 619-819-9204
