Legal Question in Employment Law in Arizona

Improper Hiring Process?

I applied for a position that required at least 6 months minimum experience. I was past up on an interview because they went off of my recent hire date, and not my combined amount of experience (total of 1 1/2 years) I contacted the hiring manager and said they did not bother to look at my resume and just went off my last hire date and apologized that they didn't look in-depth of my experience with the company, but to apply next time and she will note it. Any action I can take against this company?

Re: Improper Hiring Process?

Unfortunately, there is probably no legal basis for any claim against the employer. The only way you would have a viable claim is if the reason they decided to not hire you was related to your race, sex, national origin, religion, disability, union status, or age. Otherwise, they are free to make any hiring decision they want.
