Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Arizona

I just moved into a rental in March 2010. I found the property through the Management Company. I signed a lease between me, Adam Jonus (owner of property) and Time2RentArizona.com as Agent for Owner.

Mr. Jonus wants to cancel his contract with Time2RentArizona.com, and wants me to make payments directly to him from now on. He informed me that he will have to make a new lease. I signed this lease for 12 months. If he wants to make a new lease, can he change anything in the old one? For instance, can he raise the rent? What are my options?

No, he has to honor the existing lease agreement as written, as do you. He may want to make changes that are favorable to you, or if he wants to make changes, you have the opportunity to make changes as well, like reduce the rent. He can require that you make rent payments to him without making a new lease.
