Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona

Electric fence and dog bites

House sets in center of 1 acre with a private yard fence around house. If a person approaches an electric fence that sets within the acre and gets electrocuted or bitten where do we stand legally?

Re: Electric fence and dog bites

Owner of land may not booby trap property. If fence is electric and not properly posted with notice, you will be held liable for damage to others. Also, if you create a hazzard on your property, you could face criminal charges for risking a hazzard. If a dog is properly caged or fenced in, no liability will be suffered by owner if someone disregards signs and climbs fence. Better check you states dog statutes for liability of dog owners.
