Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona

Land Lease Deposit

We were planning to purchase a modular home in a 55+ land lease community in Arizona. We put down a $5000 deposit to hold the lot. Now circumstances prevent us from staying in Arizona and we would like to get our deposit back. They told us, sorry-it's non-refundable. Do we have any recourse?

Re: Land Lease Deposit

We cannot give an opinion on a written contract without the details and a review of the paperwork. Your change of plans does not usually give you a right to cancel a real estate purchase or lease. See an attorney to review your contract and give a proper opinion.
