Motion to vacate judgment
We were sued for a 12/15 yr old credit card debt. We failed to respond or appear. We were served. We are legal idiots....
Is there any hope for us without obtaining local counsel?

Your heading regarding a motion to vacate judgment is likely your best option. I don't think I would advise doing this without counsel. There are pitfalls and situations that you aren't likely to anticipate or expect that counsel would.
