A marriage that is performed in accordance with the laws of the Bahamas will be recognized internationally and will be universally valid. A divorce can be had in the place where you and your spouse are living, provided that you have been in that place for a time sufficient to comply with the local jurisdictional requirements and provided that one of the grounds for divorce according to the laws of that place is proven.
