Legal questions you can ask?

When verifying employment what are the legal questions you may ask? can you ask if you would hire that employee again? Can you ask if they were a good worker, etc.

You may ask any question relevant to the job that is not in violation of Title VII or FEHA. You must avoid questions that elicite information about age, sex, religion, race, color, national origin, etc. Relevancy depends on the job. I know of no reason to prohibit as question such as would you hire that employee again or whether an applicant was a good workers.
