Legal Question in Disability Law in California

9 years ago a college student has signing priviledges on a parent's credit card. used for emergencies. did not use the card. today the parent is in debt collection for 18000.00 child has built excellent credit, but now the target of collections for a debt she did not create. Father rejects all responsbility for HIS debt. what are the recourses for the daughter now 27 yrs old to defend herself?

Recourse is to defend against the collection actions. Hire an attorney if you need to. Your or he will have to try to negotiate out of this, or actually defend the lawsuit they can bring.
