Legal Question in Disability Law in California
A friend had applied for a mortgage and was told it was approved. The day before closing - he is told the underwriter has denied the load based on the fact that his daughter had recently had a liver transplant and that may impact his ability to pay the mortgage. Isn't that covered by the ADA because of discrimination based on his relationship with someone with a disability?
