It was improper and perhaps illegal for any business or, in this case, a government entity, to both deny you access to the event with a service animal, and to harass you because of your disability. You might contact a disabilities rights attorney in your area or in other areas of the state to assist you in filing a claim and pursuing your legal rights.

If your 'service animal' is actually a proper aid to a recognized disability you suffer from, then denial of access is probably illegal under ADA. If serious about pursuing your legal remedies, please contact me to discuss the specifics of your disability, your service animal qualifications, and the details of the incident. I've been doing these cases for over 20 years.
