Re: Bankruptcy

If a person has received a discharge in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy but forgets to list a debt to a creditor which would have been discharged, that debt would be discharged by operation of law. There would be no need to reopen the bankruptcy to list that debt and the court most likely would refuse to do so. If a creditor is trying to collect, the best way to deal with that is to send the collector a copy of the notice of discharge and tell them in a letter to not bother you again since the debt was discharged.
