Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

I recently filed Chpt 7 BK in California. If discharged the date is set for 2/2010.However in the meantime I was in the process of trying to short-sale a home that I own along w/my husband.The mortgage co has basically put a stop to that process stating I will need to obtain a document from the court allowing me to move forth with the short-sale.The trustee has determined that I have no assets (the house is upside down) and have submitted her report to the court already.What can I request from the court prior to the discharge so the short sale process can move forward?

If you have filed for bankruptcy, why are you wasting your with a short sale? A short sale does not benefit you and you are wasting your time if you think it will somehow protect your credit rating.
