Legal Question in Business Law in California

My ex boyfriend of 2 years was dating 2 of his married co workers, it is well documented. One with nude photos that I have copies of. I didn't think anything of it. both the women emailed me. thought it was the end of a relationship, but the HR person in the company has made friends with me and offered to help my ex and I get back together. The owner of the company has offered to fund a business for me to run and I would have sole ownership. Also my ex offered me vision and dental coverage through the company. I'm wondering if they are trying to protect the company legally.

Your question isn't really a legal question yet. If they are asking you to sign some sort of release, waiver, confidentiality agreement or other agreement not to pursue legal action against them, then it should be obvious to you what their motivations are.
