Legal Question in Business Law in California

CA contract limitations period

I am a NJ attorney with an AAA arbitration claim to be litigated using CA substantive law. It is breach of contract action involving special purpose computer programs. What is the CA limitations period to file a complaint? A citation into the CA Code would be nice if you know it off the top of your head. Don't go out of your way for the cite. I can do the research too. Thanks in advance.

Generally, the statute of limitations on oral contracts is 2 years from the date of the breach. Written contracts are 4 years. If you have a construction case, the statute of limitations may even be 10 years.

Look at the California Code of Civil Procedure sections 335 to 340
