Legal Question in Business Law in California

Law on Submission of Weekly Time Hours Worked

Is there a law that states when a time sheet should be turned in the employer for the hours an employee worked for a previous week. Currently, our company has Monday morning as the time when all time sheets should be turned in. Can we legally specify a deadline time such as 9:00 am and if an employee misses this time, can this be considered in his performance review and or as a consideration in his bonus pay? Can a company specify a time legally and hold an employee to this? If so, what has to be done to enforce this?

Time sheets and company guidelines regarding the procedures involved should be the subject of a company policy manual. Please let me know if your company has one. There are no legal guidelines that I know of requiring submission of time sheets and related procedures.
