Non Disclosure agreement
Is there any legal difference between using the term partners or parties in a NDA? The company leading this is in Austria and we are a California company.

If those terms are defined elsewhere in the document it may be important. What is the intent of the companies as to their business relationship? If they do not wish to be legal partners why confuse the issue? My suggestion would be to have the document reviewed by an attorney prior to execution. Ask your company's lawyer. Don't write your own NDAs, and don't sign theirs without your own lawyer looking at it first.

Probably not - but those terms may be defined in the document, in which case they might. If the proposed transaction is important to you - be certain to have the document (especially if they sent it to you) reviewed by an attorney.
