Legal Question in Business Law in California

I have a side job as an independent contractor working for someone who does virtual real estate. Everything seems on the up and up. He made me Secretary-Treasurer and so on some contracts that are going out as of today through docusign, they have my name and my title Secretary-Treasurer. It's a fairly straight forward agreement. Since he "OWNS" the company and his company name is listed throughout the document and i'm just working for him.....do i need to look into this further legally to see what i'm accountable for?

Thanks for your question. It is almost impossible to understand exactly what the situation is here without knowing more. Real Estate is a highly regulated industry and the buying and selling of real property requires a license. To be a shareholder of a professional corporation that is involved with this activity may require that all shareholders hold the appropriate license it depends.

Of course, at present, the details of your situation are still unknown. I am, however, happy to chat with you briefly to better understand.

If you would like to discuss further over a free phone consult, feel free to contact me anytime that is convenient.

Kind regards,

Frank
