"Forms of Action"??

If you think you are going to be arrested, you should hire criminal defense counsel to defend you. The sooner the better. Feel free to contact me if you get serious about staying out of jail.

If you think you have grounds for a civil lawsuit, you could file suit. However, if the police arrest you on the incident, it sure doesn't sound like YOU have the grounds for lawsuit, but the other side would. If the police have enough evidence to do so, then that evidence would contradict your version of the incident. At the minimum, you'd need to defend the criminal charges successfully before even thinking about filing suit. You lose the criminal charges, or plead to something, you'll lose the civil case.
