Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

I have been falsely accused of sexually molesting a girl who is a friend of the familys. Child services came to my home and interviewed all our kids. I was told I could appeal. What steps must I take to prove my innocence?

These are very serious charges which can have a profound negative effect on you and your family for the rest of your life. It seems that CS has determined you aere guilty. I normally recommend that people do things on their own before going to the expense of hiring an attorney. In your case you must quickly hire an attorney who specializes in this type of matter. You do not have the skills to handle the charges and you are too emotionally involved to act in an objective fashion. Although it will be costly, it wil be well worth that cost in attorney fees to get a pro to fight the charges. Good luck.

You can not 'prove your innocence'. What can you do? No amount of free 'tips and hints' from here or anywhere else are going to help you in your defense, other than the advice to exercise your 5th Amendment right to SHUT UP and do not talk to anyone except your attorney about your case. Hopefully you haven't already convicted yourself in your 'cooperation' with investigators.

The general advice is: If you are investigated and charged, defend the charges. Go to court, enter a not guilty plea, arrange bail reduction or OR, set up and attend the court hearing[s] and trial date[s]. File motions as applicable. Raise all the available defenses with whatever admissible and credible witnesses, evidence and facts are available for legal arguments for motions, plea bargaining, or at trial. Go to trial if it can't be resolved with motions or a plea bargain. There is no magic wand to wave and make it all disappear. If you don't know how to do these things, then hire an attorney that does, who will try to get a decent plea bargain for you. If serious about doing so, feel free to contact me. Ill be happy to help you use whatever defenses you may have.
