Legal Question in Constitutional Law in California
My father in law is in prison for life for unarmed robbery. He admitted to doing the crime, is their a way that he could use the Alford Plea to get out? He has already surved his time .

If he has a life sentence and has already done his time, he is dead. An Alford Plea is nothing but a form of plea bargain. His time to make a deal was before he was convicted and sent to prison. Unless he has both grounds and is within the time to appeal, and then try to make a plea bargain, the Alford Plea is out of the picture.
