Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Auto Movers Lost my CAR

I made a contract to transport my car Honda CR-V 2002 with a Missouri based company to ship my vehicle from Inkster MI to Dublin CA on 20 Dec 2003. That company further subcontracted Allen Park, MI based company.

On 16 January Allen Park, MI based company picked my car and promised to deliver it in Dublin CA by 22 January. When on 19 Jan. 2004 I called them to check the status of my car but MI based company refused to accept that they had my car. There after I made lot of calls and even followed up with Missouri based company. Then on 27 Jan Allen Park, MI based company accepted that they have my car and will ship it next business day. There after I'm waiting for my car, every time I call them he tells me the within next 2 days I will my car in Dublin CA.

From 9 Feb. onward he has stopped receiving my calls. I wanted to file a lawsuit as suggested by detective bureau, Inkster.

Allen Park, MI based company made some false statements and I've recorded it during conversation. Even they promised to Inkster Police Detective that my car will be delivered in California on 13th Feb. And still I do not have any trace of my car.

Shall I file a case against Missouri based company or Allen Park, MI based company or both?
