Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Car Financing

I recently bought a 06 toyota tundra with bad credit from a known to be shady dealership. I went through the whole process and finished the deal, signed the contract in financing , and drove home. This was one week ago, today they called me and said that the financing didnt go through and that I had to bring the truck back and drop it off. This is bull?@#* its my only vehicle and I paid for it and signed the contract. Do I have any rights here or do I have to take it back , isnt this theyre problem, I signed the contract, please help, thanks

Re: Car Financing

Often these sales agreements are contingent on obtaining financing. Read the entire sales agreement and see what it says about being contingent on approval of financing.

Re: Car Financing

This is a common scam. They will tell you you can have the vehicle if you agree to pay more. Don't give it back. Have a lawyer in your area write them a letter (on lawyer letterhead) telling them to go pound sand and threatening a lawsuit if they repo the car.
