Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

refinancing

I refinanced my car with a new company about 2 months-signed loan agreements etc... They still have not paid off my old financing company and they are calling me cuz i am two months behind-i told them i refinanced(they do not care) My question is a payment to the new company is due 9/20 -do I have to pay them even though they have not paid off the other company?

Re: refinancing

First of all make sure that the car has not actually been refinanced by confronting the company that said it was. If not, you have been defrauded. This is a violation of the Consumer Legal Remedies Act. It appears to me that there is something going on between the two companies that they are not telling you. You should cover yourself with several letters to both companies. I cannot tell you, at this time, which company to pay because I do not have enough information. You may contact me to set up a consult.
