Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Harrassment

I was contacted by a Home Mortgage Company about refinancing my loan. I explained toi them that I wasn't interested, yet they call me daily, sometimes several times a day and at all hours. They use different people, different names, etc. I have asked, begged, pleaded, and still they keep calling. Their number shows up unlisted on my phone. I am always polite, but this is getting out of hand. What are my rights, and what can I do to make them stop calling?

Thanks,Rich

Re: Harrassment

Put your number on the national do-not-call registry on the internet. Get their name and address and have a lawyer send them a cease-and-desist letter. Get call screening where they have to announce who they are before you pick up the phone. Hang up on them as soon as you realize who they are.
