Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

very combative, disparaging, belittling, even mocking me, threatening to repo the car telling me that I need to make ( A ) payment then when I give then a post dated check they demand arrangements for another payment before the end of the month and they want the arrangements tomorrow before 5pm or else, they will be out to get the car. We are 48 days behind and have had this loan since 2007 and it is my second loan through them I have another one that will be paid off in 3 more payments and I have had it since 2004. He was treating me as though I was a degenerate. They have been informed that I have been in ill health for the past year and a half in and out of the hospital I was just released from the hospital on July 3rd and this jerk really stressed me out horribly causing tremendous anxiety also causing me to miss a dose of medicine. Please tell what to do besides calling the corporate office and FTC.

Well, if he's not using obscene or profane language or using threat of violence against your person or reputation, then there's not a lot you can do, even with the unfortunate behavior you described. Threatening to repo the car is OK if it's within their contractual right to do so (because of your failure to pay on the loan), and if they really intend to do so. If you don't like to deal with them, then hire an attorney to be your representative and then they must communicate only with the attorney. And yes, you could try complaining in writing to the corporate office and the FTC to have them back off.
