Credit

Paying a car payment for over 4 years, car is in my mom's name should I be getting some kind of credit for this?

Can't get it in my name due to bankrupy 5 years ago.

Thank you for your inquiry and posting.

Credit was never extended to you, so the reporting agency has no duties to you, even if you made the payments. You cannot use your record of payments for someone else to establish your credit, unfortunately.

If by credit you mean should your credit rating get better, then it will not affect you since the car is in your mom's name and is, therefore, under her credit.
