creditors

I have a company that keeps calling me

for money. The card was cancelled in

2001 and in my divorce papers my x

husband is supposed to pay all credit

card debts. Its been over 7 years can

they do this?

No. Don't talk to them. Especially don't pay or promise to pay anything. The 4 year statute of limitations has expired, but some people scare easily. If they sue, and you defend the lawsuit the right way, they will lose, and likely they will also pay your attorney fees.
