Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Former employer attempting to collect on phone bill

A former employer is accusing me of running a company phone bill to over 600 dollars. i admitted to making a few long distance calls, but they are claiming they are 900 number calls which i did not make. they paid the bill in full and are now demanding i pay them back. what options do i have concerning this since i feel im not responsible for something i know i did not do.

Re: Former employer attempting to collect on phone bill

you legally do not have to pay the bill(s) for the calls you did not make, especially if they cannot provide proof/evidence that you did in fact make such calls.
